Truly Scrumptious

I am really excited about this card as I am the guest designer for the truly scrumptious challenge. The theme is to use this sketch with your 'neglected stash'. I'm sure we all have plenty of that in our cupboards.

I used my very first rubber stamp for this card. My husband bought me a beginners kit for Christmas a number of years ago after my friend Maureen had introduced me to heat embossing. It was a Funstamps kit which included this stamp called 'bubbly clown'. I have not used it for ages. Now it is out the cupboard I think he will be used more frequently as I really enjoyed colouring him with my copic pens.

I used Funstamps 'Bubbly clown' stamp, Cuttlebug Dots embossing folder, copic pens, McGill leaf punch & Woodware flower punches.

Pop over to truly scrumptious and see the fabulous design team cards. There is lots of inspiration to be had.

Friday sketchers challenge

Another post from me tonight, this time for the Friday sketchers challenge.
I enoyed this sketch because of its simplicity. I feel I could use it for so many cards and probably will. This time I have resisted the cute and cuddly images and went flowery.

Celebration

It was a terribly wet day here and I got soaked coming home from work. So it was a great day to make cards this afternoon. I managed to make this card for two challenges. It is Penny Black's 1st birthday and the theme is celebrations. So my card is for a wedding anniversary. I used the sketch from Mojo Monday but with a little twist.

I used PB hedgies stamp, Nesties, Woodware punch, Studio G sentiments, Copic pens and PM floral paper.

Guest Designer

I have great news. I have won the prize on the Truly Scrumptious challenge blog to be their first guest designer for the next 4 challenges. I am so excited and nervous all at the same time. I just hope I don't disappoint everyone. I have been given a button to display on my blog.
I will be back later hopefully with a card. I need to wait till hubby photographs it later. He is studying just now for an exam tomorrow so I don't want to disturb him at the moment. I suppose I should really learn how to take the pictures myself but his camera is rather complicated.

No cards Yet

Sorry no cards at the moment. The weather is so good just now and I am in the garden tidying up and planting some flowers. I thought I would take the chance as the weather has to change tomorrow and be a lot colder again. It was too good to last. I really enjoy the warm weather and spending time in the garden. I shall get back later to blog hop.
