winter wonderland

A very quick post while having my lunch (multitasking). I made this quick card using minimal materials and colour and I really like it. Its a good one to mass produce for Christmas. Winter Wonderland is an open theme so this card will do nicely.
I used Rubber Stampede Let it Snow Tree and coloured with Chalks and added some Kaban glitter. Cuttle bug embossed panel with Paper Mania ribbon and a few gems.
Now back to the decorating...

Saturday Sketch

I am on holiday from work this week and next and popping along to see my daughter and grandson. In between I am decoratng my sons room while he is in the USA, so it is pretty busy at the moment.
It seems ages since I entered a challenge. This card is loosely based on the Saturday Sketch. It was a quick make using FF image coloured with Copics/promarkers, papers from Craft Creations, Cuttlebug Dots and X-Cut holly punch.

New arrival

I made a selection of cards to send to family members to announce the arrival of our Grandson. Finn is the first Grandchild for both families and is the first baby in our family for 21 years, so he is causing great excitement.
I used Hamlets Flower image from Funstamps, Craft Creation papers, Nesties, Cuttlebug dots, Copic /Promarker pens, Dovecraft ribbon, Liquid pearls and the beads form my stash

1st Nappy cake

This is my first attempt at a nappy cake. I have seen them on web sites but this is the first opportunity to try one. I enjoyed buying all the little vest, socks , mitts and toys etc and then putting them all together. I am pleased with my final result.

Welcome

This is the card I made to welcome Finn to the family. My daughter and Son in law have two pet rabbits so I thought Joanna Sheen's Messy Rabbit was appropriate.
Needless to say I have had no time this week for any challenges, and this weekend is busy also so maybe next week!

I'm a Gran

Hi all, happy news I became a Gran on Sunday the 4th October and it is just wonderful. It has been a busy week as you could imagine and this is the first chance I have had to blog. We had a bit of a rollercoaster ride last Sunday. My daughter went into labour and unfortunatley she had problems with the delivery and after trying forceps ended up with an emergency caesarean section. She is recovering now and my grandson is none the worse for his experience. I can't wait to show him off to everyone.

He is called Finn and weighed in at 7lb 13oz.
