with love

I had a little play with some old stamps and ink pads. The ink pad is a Brilliance pearlescent lavender which I have had for years and is still moist. My stamps are Lavinias dandelions, they were my first Lavinia stamps and are very versitile. The lavender block of colour is made with a Whispas stramp. A very simple card using an old sketch from Sketch and Stash challenge no 42. and Martha Stewart border punch.
I have used Liquid Pearl dots and glitter on the dandelion heads, but it is hard to see in the photographs.

less is more

Less is More challenge again. This week I hope I get it right, last week I didn't read the challenge properly but that is me at times so eager to get the task done. This was a hard card to photograph, hence the different backgrounds.

I don't often use acetate and this was fun.

I used Nesties circles, Woodware flower punches and a sentiment for country companions set. This is stuck on as I bungled the direct stamped try.

Top 3

I am amazed and pleased I made the top 3 in the Totally Papercrafts challenge with my Best Pals card below.

This is a last minute kind of card. I had made it a few days ago but didn't get it photographed till now. I had used the Stamp with Fun sketch turned upside down and then left it for my hubby to take the photo. We have been very busy with birthdays and we had a day out yesterday to The House of an Art Lover in Glasgow. This is a house built to a Charles Rennie MacIntosh design and features his designs and furniture. I have always loved his work and I am fortunate to live within easy reach of Glasgow to be able to enjoy visits to his buildings. My son had given me a voucher at Christmas to and treat myself at the house and in the restaurant. We had a delicious lunch and a lovely wander around.

Now after my ramblings my card...

I used Ruth's image again of Crab apple blossom, Promarker, Cuttlebug Dots, Nesties, Liquid Pearls and About a Girl paper.

I have had a fantastic day with my grandson. He was a little angel all day. We managed a couple of lovely walks and went for coffee in a local farm cafe. Pity it is back to work tomorrow.

I made this card yesterday using another of Ruth's digi images on a Passion for Stamps called crab apple.

I also used Promarkers, Martha Stewart border punch, Woodware punches, Nellie's multi frame dies, DCWV papers and the rest from my stash.

Another quick post tonight, then I must tidy up and get my things ready to go to my daughters tomorrow to look after Finn.

This is another of Ruth's new digi images at a Passion for Stamps
called Eyes Left.

I used the sketch from Totally Papercrafts and flipped it around, Promarkers, Sizzlets alphabet, sorry can't remember the paper.

Iris

This has been a quick week. I have been very busy and feel I haven't been at home much this week. I had made this card last week but just didn't get time to post it.

I have used one of Ruth's digi images from a Passion for Stamps. This is one of her older designs but never the less a lovely iris and a delight to colour. Ruth has just released new images so pop over and take a look. I will hopefully manage to make a couple of cards shortly to show them off.

I have used Ruth's iris, Nesties, Promarkers, Cuttlebug embossing folder and the rest from my stash.

Simple

I have had problems today with my internet, so I had to wait for hubby to come home and fix it. It was only my laptop that had the problem so goodness knows what I did to it!!! Working now.

I made this card quickly tonight for Less is More challenge and it also fit in with a couple of other challenges too.

I used an unknown sentiment stamp, X-Cut heart punch, and little gems which are for nail art from the pound shop.
